London Olympics: India lose to South Korea 1-4

 London Olympics: India go down to Black SticksLondon: Indian hockey team’s horrible run continued at the London Olympics as they suffered an embarrassing defeat against South Korea 1-4. This is India’s fourth consecutive defeat and India is the only team without a point among all the teams.

India will now play for the 11th and the 12th position match against Belgium. South Korea in the match scored the opening goal in the sixth minute, India in the 10th minute did well to score the equalizer from a superb pass from Gurbaj Singh which was converted into the goal by Gurvinder Singh Chandi.

The first half ended with both teams scoring one goal. In the second half India did make some moves but failed to take the lead. Nam of South Korea scored his second goal of the match in the 59th minute to give his team a 2-1 lead.

Koreans got their third goal from a superb run from their captain Lee Seung. In the dying minutes of the match the Koreans converted yet another penalty corner to take the score to 4-1.
