London: Indian air pistol shooters Heena Sidhu and Annu Raj Singh have failed to qualify for the final round of the 10 m air pistol event at the London Olympics as they finished 12th and 23rd respectively at the Royal Artillery Barracks today.
China’s Guo Wenjun finished first with 388 points.
Heena shot started off well and was looking in great touch as she shot 10s for five times in a row. But then her next five shot show her hitting 9s. She ended the first round on 95.
She still had chance to recover but then a second round of 93 never saw her recover from the deficit even though she later shot two identical rounds of 97. She finished with a total of 382.
Annu Raj Singh shot rounds of 94, 96, 97, 91 to end her campaign on 378 points.
