Disappointing start for Indian archers at London OlympicsLondon: India got off to a disappointing start in archery at the London Olympics as the Indian men’s team finished at the bottom place. Indian men’s team comprising of Jayanta Talukdar, Tarundeep Rai and Rahul Banerjee finished on 12th position at the Lord's Cricket Ground in London.

The Indian trio ended on a combined score of 1969 points. Korean team broke the world record with a combine points tally of 2087 points.

Tarundeep Rai scored the maximum points for the Indian team with 664 points from 72 shots, Banerjee scored 655 points and Talukdar scored 650 points.
