She also went on to win the Wimbledon and the US Open alongside Hingis last year and was named in TIME magazine’s list of 100 Most Influential People in the World this year. The left-handed Hyderabadi has won the National Badminton Championships not once but 14 times. She is the country's most successful doubles player. Jwala has won numerous medals, including gold and silver at 2010 and 2014 Commonwealth Games, respectively in women's doubles. She was awarded by Arjuna Award in 2011. Gutta has been listed as the most inspirational sportswomen from India on numerous occasions. She is known for her sharp wit, beauty and a confident approach.

Saina Nehwal is regarded as the princess of Indian badminton. She is first Indian badminton player to win an Olympic medal, first to win Commonwealth Gold in women’s singles. She has won over 20 international titles, which include 10 Superseries titles. She is also first Indian athlete who won the World Junior and Commonwealth Youth titles. In 2009 she attained the World No 2 ranking, but the year 2015 brought her the No. 1 ranking she had dreamt of and been working so hard for. Recently in news because of her marriage to India pace bowler Ishant Sharma, Pratima Singh is the youngest of the five sisters from the famous “Singh Sisters” brigade from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh and has been playing for India along with her sisters since long. The 26-year-old was part of both the college (Jesus and Mary) and Delhi University basketball teams and is now a permanent fixture in the national team. Chirpy of the basketball court, this good looking cager can give many actresses a run for their money.

Prashanti Singh, one of the sisters from the “Singh Sisters” brigade from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh has been an integral part of the Indian basketball squad. In 2003, Prashanti became the captain of the Indian team. She is one of the top players sponsored by the Basketball Federation of India. Prashanti Singh has won 23 medals in National Championship. She is the only women basketball player in India to represent the National team in one 2006 Commonwealth Games & two Asian Games 2010, 2014, respectively. She was the team captain in 2016 South Asian Games, Guwahati. Tall and beautiful, she has all the qualities to be in the tinsel world.
