Rishab, Simran move into the semis round

Chandigarh: Top seed Rishab Aggarwal and eighth seed Simran Kaur Sethi continued their good run in the  the boys and girls section to move into the semis of the ongoing ITF Junior India-1 (Grade 3) tennis tournament  being held at the CLTA complex, Sector 10, here.

Rishab defeated sixth seed Naoki Nakawaga of Japan in two sets 7-6 (9), 6-3 whereas  eighth seeded Simran Kaur Sethi defeated third seed Madrie Le Roux of South Africa in straight sets 6-2, 6-4.

Results:
Boys singles (quarter finals): 1-Rishab Agarwal (Ind) bt 6-Naoki Nakawaga (Jpn) 7-6 (9), 6-3; Shao Chi Yang (Tpe) bt 4- Nattan Benjasupawan (Tha) 6-3, 6-2; Geens Clement (Bel) bt Ivan Divkovic (Cro) 6-1, 6-2; and Hyeon Chung (Kor) bt Robert Dula (Cro) 6-3, 7-6 (4).

Girls singles (quarter finals): 1-Ching-Wen Hsu (Tpe) bt 6-Sanae Ohta (Jpn) 6-4, 6-2; Min-Chi Hsu (Tpe) bt Nayanika Reddy Devireddy (Ind) 6-2, 6-0, 8-Simran Kaur Sethi (Ind) bt 3-Madrie Le Roux (RSA) 6-2, 6-4, and 2-Oleksandra Korashvili (Ukr) bt 5-Spurti Shivalingaiah (Ind) 6-4, 7-6 (4).

Boys doubles (semis): Adriaan Du Toit (RSA) and Jeroen Royakkers (Bel) bt 4- Hyeon Chung (Kor)/Shao-Chi Yang (Tpe) 7-6 (4), 4-6 (10-5); and Sumit Nagal (Ind)/Naoki Nakagawa (Jpn) bt 3-Sumara P Saradhi Adavelly (Ind)/Rishab Agarwal (Ind) 1-6, 6-4 (10-3).

Girls doubles (semi-finalsl): 1- Korashvili (Ukr)/Le Roux (RSA) bt Folts (Uzb)/Geukens (Bel) 6-3, 6-4, 2-Augustine-Benito (Esp)/Stojanovic (Srb) bt Nandakumar (Ind)/Palha (Ind) 6-3, 3-6 (10-3).
