Divij, Purav make it to main draw of Wimbledon doublesLondon: India's Divij Sharan and his partner Purav Raja have made it to the main draw of Wimbledon doubles event here on Wednesday. The fourth seeded Indian pair received a walkover from their second round opponents, Andreas Haider-Maurer from Austria and Jiri Vesely of Czech Republic.


In what could be a great career boos for the Indians, Divij Sharan and Purav Raja will be making their first ever appearance at a Grand Slam. Their entry into the main draw has increased the Indian representation in the Wimbledon doubles as Leander Paes, Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna are already there in the fray.


Divij and Purav have made four finals, winning the Kyoto event and ending runners-up at Nottingham, Johannesburg and Leon, Mexio this year.
