Mumbai: N Sriram Balaji overcame an early deficit to beat Ramkumar Ramanathan in the first round matchup of the CCI-ITF Men’s $15,000 Tennis Tournament at the CCI courts on Monday.
Balaji who was 1-4 down in the first set, put up a spirited attack to down Ramkumar 7-5, 6-4 in a match that lasted for an hour and 50 minutes.
In another match Arjun Khade of Pune registered a comprehensive victory Kunal Anand from Delhi in straight sets. He won the match 6-3, 6-0.
