Star Sports is ‘Official Broadcaster’ of Aircel Chennai Open for next three editions

CHENNAI: The organizers of the Aircel Chennai Open, India’s only and South Asia’s premier ATP World Tour tennis event, announced Star Sports as the ‘Official Broadcaster’ of Aircel Chennai Open for next three editions until 2016.

The Aircel Chennai Open will offer fans a heady mix of thrilling action and fun-filled activities at the SDAT Tennis Stadium in Chennai from December 30, 2013 to January 5, 2014. One of three tournaments that is held in the opening week of the season, the event promises to give the subcontinent access to a week of scintillating tennis action, featuring top-ranking players such as Stanislas Wawrinka, Mikhail Youzhny, Fabio Fognini, Benoit Paire, and top Indian talent such as Somdev Devvarman.

 

Tennis enthusiasts across the country will be able to enjoy uninterrupted coverage Live from Chennai. This will include live scores, commentary, highlights, behind-the-scene action, and perspective of the best analysts in the sport. Apart from Live action, the channel will also offer comprehensive updates, insight and match analyses related to the tournament on its show "Star Power".
