Wrestling fraternity express grief over Dara Singh’s demise

Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, MP, President, Wrestling Federation of India expressed his sincere grief and sorrow over the sad demise of renowned Punjabi wrestler and Bollywood actor Dara Singh after a prolonged illness this morning.

Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh described that the wrestling fraternity has lost a personality who earned name and fame in the field of wrestling at National and International level. 

Further, he also described that in the world of wrestling, he competed against some of the greatest names like King Kong (Australia), George Gordienko (Canada), John Desilva (New Zealand) and others. Dara Singh Ji won the title of 'Rustam-E-Punjab' and 'Rustam-e-Hind' for his wrestling prowess.

Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh also said he will always have a special place in our hearts for his immense contribution to the Indian Wrestling.

Raj Singh, Secretary General, WFI also shared his heart-felt sympathies with the members of the bereaved family and prayed to the almighty to give courage to bear this irreparable loss and grant peace to the departed soul.
