The acclaimed Arjun Awardee and well respected coach Satyawan and the father of Satyawrat irons out the best moves of his son.Sakshi feel blessed to be entwined with a family which belongs to a Wrestling background that has given a boost to her dreams.

Sakshi is proud of being a part of the family of wrestlers where her fiancé Satyavrat is not only a national champion but also competes at international events in 97 kg weight category. His younger brother Somveer is also an International wrestler and Satyavrat’s father Satyawan is not only an Olympian but also an Arjun Awardee.
Sakshifurther adds that being a part of an International league with Olympic medalists and World Champions haspulled her level of fighting a notch above. She says that being a part of RevantaMumbai Garuda team in the first season, she has learnt a lot from Adeline Grey.

“Watching her we learned to play openly. It has been a memorable moment for me to do mat training with her. This league has taught us to compete with the international level athletes and has also boosted our moral but the experience of getting back into the game and winning despite of losing, has been taught by great efforts to me by my coach.”

Sakshi wants that every team should open their coaching camps before the beginning of PWL so that every Indian wrestler should get an opportunity to learn from Olympic medalist. The Indian wrestlers can curtail their weakness. She reckons that these camps should not be opened for just a formality. She also emphasized on opening opportunity windows for national players in the field of international wrestling.

“I am indebted to the services of my coach, especially IshwarDahiyawho has given me the best and appropriate training for this game. After his retirement in 2010, Mandeep Sir had focused on my strengths and weaknesses. I have learnt much from Kuldeepji (Malik) in the National Camp”, adds Sakshi Malik.
