Mumbai Garuda beat Haryana Hammers 7-2 to win inaugural Pro Wrestling League title

Pro Wrestling League Final- Livan Lopez Azcui from Haryana Hammers beats Pardeep of Mumbai GadurasHigh on confidence after unbeated in all their matches in the league, Mumbai Garuda started as the favourites in the finale and successfully lived up the expectations with a comprehensive 7-2 win over Haryana Hammers.

Mumbai won back-to-back bouts through captain Adeline Gray, Giorgi Sakandelidze, Odunayo Adekuoroye and Odikadze Elizbar. Last two inconsequential bouts were also win by Mumbai.

To begin with Mumbai's Amit Dhankar had an easy outing against Haryana's Vishal Rana, who was the replacement for injured Yogeshwar Dutt, bagging the first bout 12-0 by technical superiority and giving Mumbai Garuda an early lead in Men's 65kg.

Odunayo Adekuoroye clinched a crucial bout against Tatyana Kit by a 9-0 margin, and Giorgi Sakandelidze won his battle with Hitender with consummate ease, setting the stage for Odikadze Elizbar to clinch the issue.

Adeline Gray from the United States dominated her bout against Geetika Jakhar.

After winning the final, Mumbai Garuda captain Adeline Gray said her team successfully executed the plans and it deserved to win, having remained unbeaten in the league stages.

“This is an amazing team and all of our players rose to the occasion. Our coach told us that we will win 7-2 and we proved it. That is the level of the confidence we have,” Adeline Gray, the Mumbai captain, said.
