Sidhant sets new national and DHS record in jumping

Sidhant Kabra in actionNew Delhi: 15-year old Sidhant Kabra from Assam Valley School set a new national record in the Young Riders Category at the Puissance event in the Delhi Horse Show. Kabra’s jump of 1.8metres on horse, ‘Road Runner’, also smashed the event’s previous record of 1.65 metres in 2004. The new record also took the teenager to victory in the Jumping Puissance, along with Swar Sachin Chandel astride Veeru cleared the final fence in the fourth round – after which Kabra and he took an extra jump for the record, with Kabra sailing through.


“It is always a great feeling to win an event and to have a national record to my name is great. Road runner, which is a pure bred performed really well in the arena, it kept it’s cool and I was able to got the height by pacing it better,” said Sidhant after his record breaking feat.
