The Washington Wizards who were comfortably placed at 89- 66 early in the fourth quarter were looking at an easy win against the Pelicans. However a spirited comeback by New Orleans meant the Wizards had to settle for a hard fought 102 -98 victory. Trevor Ariza finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds while John Wall pitched in 20 points, six assists and four rebounds for the Wizards.

James Harden scored 38 points and recorded a season-high five steals to lead the Rockets past the Los Angeles Lakers 113-99 on Wednesday at Toyota Center. Dwight Howard (20 points, 13 rebounds, four steals) and Terrence Jones (15 points, 13 rebounds) each posted double-doubles for Houston (23-13), which has won four of its last five home games.

The Suns edged past the Timberwolves in a nail biting finish at the Target Center on Wednesday night. Goran Dragic led the way for Phoenix with 26 points, nine assists and six rebounds while Channing Frye added 22 in a 104 – 103 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Portland outscored Orlando by 20 points in the fourth quarter en route to a 110-94 victory Wednesday night at the Moda Center. The victory snapped a two-game losing streak for the Blazers (27-9), who had fallen to Philadelphia and Sacramento in its previous two outings. LaMarcus Aldridge scored 36 points and grabbed nine rebounds for Portland.
