Chandigarh: Top seed Rohit Dhiman routed out Ayush in the quarter-final match of Boys’ (U-14) category during the ongoing LD Kapoor Memorial Masters YMCA Total Tennis Tournament, here today.


In the quarter-final result, Rohit defeated Ayush in straight sets by 6-0 while in another match of same category, Adeesh Bansal defeated third seed Parmeet Deol by 6-5(4).

In the Boys’ (U-12) category, Shivam Vij of DAV Public School, Sector 8, reached in the finals after defeating Ankush Nagpal of Vivek High School, Sector 38, in a one sided affair.

In the semi-final clash, Vij kept his calm and overcame the rival by 4-1 and 4-1. Shivam will take on Saryas Chopra in the finals of the category.

Saryas toppled Adeesh Bansal in other semi-final match. Chopra came back in the match after a 2-5 score in the best of 11 game match and won 6-5 (2) in a tie break.
