Swarna Jayanti Haryana Premier League: Panchkula Kings beat Hisar Bulls, Gurugram Gladiators defeat Sirsa Warriors

cricket bat ballChandigarh: Panchkula Kings defeated Hisar Bulls by four wickets while Gurugram Gladiators got the better of Sirsa Warriors by four runs in the Swarna Jayanti Haryana Premier League T20 Championship being played at the Sector 16 cricket stadium, here on Monday.

In the first match of the day, batting first, Hisar Bulls were all out for 143 in 20 overs. Ramanjeet Singh was the top scorer for the side with 37 runs while Kulveer Singh made 30 runs.

For Panchkula Kings, Pardeep Tanwar took four wickets for 15 runs, while Saurav Shrivastava took two wickets for 14 runs.

Chasing the target, Panchkula didn’t start well and were three wickets dwn for just eight runs when Pardeep Tanwar and Gaurav Singh scored half-centuries to steer the the team out of trouble. In the end Panchkula won in just 14.5 overs with four wickets to remaining.

In the second match, Gurugram Gladiators defeated Sirsa Warriors by four runs. Batting first, Gurugram scored 173 for the loss of nine wickets in 20 overs. Ankush Dhariwal was the top scorer with 47 runs, while Sagar Babbar made 36.

For Sirsa, Shiva Yadav picked up two wickets for 22 runs, while Pawan Kumar snared two wickets for 22.

Chasing the target, Sirsa fell short of the target despite Sarul Kanwar’s 86, which came off just 51 balls. Jagroop Singh (1 for 19), Bhagminder Singh (1 for 43) and Ankush Dhariwal (1 for 33) were the wicket-takers for the winners.
