New Delhi: Royal Rangers FC, Friends United FC and Uttrakhand posted victories in the Delhi Socer Association (DSA) A : Division Super-six Round - robin league matches to collect three full points which commenced at Dr. Ambedkar Stadium on Saturday.
In a well-contested match, Royal Rangers managed to score a 1-0 win over spirited out-fit Young Boys FC. Young Boys displayed a spirited game through their young lads but were unlucky not to get past formidable Royal Rangers. Even Young Boy's missed a penalty - kick when Kristopher shot was blocked by opponent’s keeper.
Earlier, Rangers shot into 1-0 lead through Nigerian recruit Isalu Ologvn in the 16th minute off a goal-mouth melee. Young Boys lads missed at least five goal-scoring easy opportunities from close. Earlier, Friends United FC scored a 3-0 win over Punjab Heroes. Bon scored a brace in 40th and 50th minute. Calio opened score 1-0 in the 7th minute. Uttrakhand scored a 2-0 victory over Delhi students. Scorers were Nayank (8th) and Avishkar ( 47th).
