Chandigarh: Punjab wrapped up their match against JKCA by an innings and 268 runs in the Vijay Merchant Trophy played at Cricket Stadium, Sector 16, Chandigarh on Thursday.
JKCA resuming at overnight score of 124 for 7 were bundled out for 154 in 46.5 overs. Raghav Sharma (38), Mujtaba (32) were the principal run getters for JKCA. For Punjab the spinning trio of Madhav Pathania 4 for 22, Anurag Watts 3 for 21 and Deepak Kumar 3 for 59 shared the spoils.
For their innings win, Punjab got 7 points, including a bonus while JKCA got zero. Punjab will now travel to Patiala to take on DDCA from December 11-13, 2016. Punjab has so far bagged 10 points from their two outings.
