Chandigarh: It is a proud moment for the city beautiful, which is going to organising the annual “12th Hindustan Petroleum Chandigarh Golfing Tour” starting tomorrow being hosted by Chandigarh Golf Association CGA).

There will be two main categories -- NRI Category and invite category. So far 76 NRIs from across the globe has registered and 60 officers / CEO’S of corporates/ VIP dignitaries have been invited to play the event. CITCO, Tourism Promotion Society and NRI Affairs Department, Government of Punjab are the Associates and Hospitality partners.

The first day of the event will be hosted at Forest Hill Resort, while the second day will be hosted at the Chandigarh Golf club and the 3rd and final day will be played at Panchkula Golf Club followed by cultural events and dinner party every day.

CSR Reddy IPS, President of association, said, “The CGA has been golf nursery in the country. Golf academy has already produced some big names at national and international golf circuit.  It already has very established golf coaching programme, which is very best in the country. By hosting this type of event, the association is trying to establish and extending support for budding golfer who visit USA/ AUSTRALIA / UK for playing international events and we extend lodging and boarding support”.

The organizing committee further informed that Aadil Bedi played World Cup in the US this year and the NRI Ajit Singh and Ruby Sangha extended all support in lodging and boarding. “Aadil finished runner up in the World Cup. We are trying to pool in resource from the NRIs and promoting Indian golfers for their support from USA /UK in particular, in the Olympic 2020 for the best golfers from the Tri-City too.”
