New Delhi: Baba Zorawar Singh Fateh Singh Senior Secondary Public School, Fatehgarh Sahib beat Government Girls Model Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh by 15-1 in a one-sided match in the 23rd Nehru Girls Hockey Tournament being played at Shivaji Stadium in New Delhi, on Tuesday.

The goals were scored at regular intervals in the 9th, 14th, 16th, 17th, 19th,23rd,31st,32nd,48th,50th,52nd, 62nd, 65th, and 66th minute of the match by Fatehgarh Sahib School. The goal scorers of the match were Simrrajee Kaur, Amandeep Kaur, Ramanpreet Kaur, and Mahima, respectively. Kirandeep Kaur scored the lone goal in 6th minute of the match for Chandigarh.

In the second match, Kiddy’s Corner Higher Senior Secondary School, Gwalior beat Birsa Munda Vidyapeetha, Rourkela by 1-0. Sneha Singh scored the lone goal for Kiddy’s Corner in the 61st minute while Birsa Munda School could not score any goal.

In the third match played on Tuesday, SS High School Simdega, Jharkhand beat Sri Guru Arjan Dev Senior Secondary High School, Tarn Taran in a one-sided match by 6-2. The goals were scored by Preety Minz (12th), Betan Dung (21st ), Pinki Ekka (27st,32nd ), Reshmi Soreng (44th ), Kamala Bailung (64th ), while Baljit Kaur scored two goals for Tarn Taran School in 31st and 55th minute of the match.
