Chandigarh: The 4th Tricity Junior/Amateur Golf Championship will be conducted at the Chandigarh Golf Club on October 29. The idea behind this championship is to give tournament exposure to juniors and amateurs who are aspiring to become future champions.

Juniors below the age of 18 years and amateurs below the age of 30 years from the Tricity, Punjab, Delhi/NCR region can enroll and compete for the top honors in each category.

There will be 5 categories for Juniors: Category A (under 18 years), Category B (under 15 years), Category C (under 13 years), Category D (under 11 years) and Category E (under 9 years). Category E will play 9-holes only. One Category for amateurs of all skill levels has been introduced to give the amateurs of the region a platform to compete on. 

This Championship will be played on a Gross format in the amateur as well as the five junior categories and there will be prizes for the winner, runners-up, 2nd runners-up, in each category for boys and girls. In addition to this, there will be a Neareast-to-Pin prize in each category for boys & girls and prizes for Maximum number of Pars in each category (boys & girls common). Col. Harkirat who is a certified refree will be the refree for this tournament.

Entry forms and registrations for this tournament are being done at the Chandigarh Golf Club Pro Shop. The first 50 participants will be enrolled on a first-come-first-served basis.
