Chandigarh’s IPS Mann to play for Indian Team in Asia Pacific Senior Amateur Golf Championship

Chandigarh: The All India Seniors National Golf Championship is held yearly. There are four zones (North, South, East, West) and every year the tournament is held at different venues of the country.

This year IPS Mann finished 2nd Runners-Up in the All India National Seniors Amateur Golf Championship held at Jaypee Greens, Greater Noida.

The course conditions were playing extremely tough and to add to it, the weather conditions were hot and sultry. Based on his playing performance, Mann has been selected to play for the Indian Team in the forthcoming Asia Pacific Senior Amateur Golf Championship to be held in Quingdao Linghai Hot Springs Golf Club in China from the 14th – 18th October, 2015.

The six-member team comprises of five members from Delhi/NCR region and Mann being the only one from Chandigarh Golf Club. Other regions from India were not able to make it on the team this year.

In 2010, Mann represented India in the Asia Pacific Golf Tournament in Bangkok, Thailand where the Indian team got the Bronze Medal. In 2011 he went to Perth where the Indian team finished 7th. In 2012 Mann represented India in the same tournament held at Hong Kong and in 2013 in Denang Vietnam. We wish Mann best of luck for this 2015 event in China.
