Indian National FC, Youngmen SC and Garhwal Heroes FC register win

New Delhi: Defending champions Indian National Football Club scored a solitary goal over formidable Delhi United FC to collect three points in the round - robin super eight league match of the Delhi Soccer Association ( DSA ) Annual Senior Division Open Clubs Football League Championship being held at Dr Ambedkar Stadium here on Thursday.

The all-important winning goal was scored by striker Kamal Rawat in the 19th minute of the proceedings. Delhi United tried their level best but could not succeed in equalizing the lone goal deficit. National now have four points from two games. Delhi United have three points from two matches.

In another match, Youngmen got better of spirited City FC 4 - 2 to collect three valuable points. Youngmen's Pulkit opened 1 - 0 in 32nd minute. City's Parveen Rawat equalised 1-1 in 48th minute.

Thereafter, Youngmen's former Junior international Kisley Sajwan scored a brace in 56th and 60th minute to increase tally to 3-1. City's Ripu reduced the margin 2 -3 in 62nd minute. Youngmen's Kartik completed the tally 2- 4 in 80th minute.

Last year's runners - up Garhwal Heroes FC registered their second successive win by beating formidable Hindustan FC by a solitary goal.
