Patiala: An unbeaten 94 for Jashanpreet Sidhu helped Patiala reach 248/4 in 95 overs against Jalandhar in the U-19 Dhruv pandove Trophy final being played at Dhruv Pandove Stadium, Patiala on Tuesday.

Patiala won the toss and elected o bat. Patiala opened with Mandeep Inder Singh Bawa and Sanveer Singh and added 71 runs for the first wicket before Sanveer Singh was caught by Damandeep Singh off Prerit Dutta. Mandeeepinder Bawa was trapped in front by Pretitdutta off 42 runs inclusive of seven boundaries’.

Thereafter, Ibadat Thaman and Jashanpreet put on 44 runs for the third wicket. Another fruitful partnership of 51 runs between Prince Balwant Rai and Jashanpreet Singh helped Patiala to reach 179 for 4. Thereafter, Jashanpreet Sidhu and Ikjot Singh Thind put on 67 runs for the unbroken 5th wickets.

Jashanpreet Sidhu was unbeaten 94 off 189 balls inclusive of 11 boundaries and Ikjot Sinhg Thind unbeaten 36 runs off 69 balls with 4 boundaries were together at close of 1st days play.
