India at Rio Olympics, Day 7 Live: Sania-Bopanna reach semis; Vikas Krishan into quarterfinals

Atanu DasRio de Janeiro: Though India have failed to win any medal till Day 6 of the Games, Day 7 will see India in contention in the men’s individual archery event as Atanu Das will be vying for glory in the Elimination 1/8 round. India will also start its campaign in athletics where Vikas Gowda will be seen in action in the men’s discus throw qualification round, while Manpreet Kaur will fight it out in the women’s shot put qualification round. Jinson Johnson, Gurmeet Singh, Manish Singh Rawat, Ganapathi Krishnan are other athletes who would be hoping or the best on Friday.

Meanwhile, in boxing Vikas Krishan will be against O Sipal of Turkey.
