Pune: Puneri Paltan, the Pune franchise of Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League, announced its new set of highly competent team and players during the press conference held in the city today. In addition to this, the franchise also revealed Kolte-Patil Developers Ltd, foremost real estate companies from Pune, as their principal partner. The Puneri Paltan team is all set to battle it out in the forthcoming Pro Kabaddi League Season 2 with renewed vigour and strength.
Determined to roar in all new avatar in the second edition of the tournament this year, Puneri Paltan finished with their intensive training camp at Balewadi Stadium. Aimed at fostering Kabaddi talent in the country, the franchise, as part of the Insurekot Sports management, had organized Talent Hunt’ and ‘Little Puneri Champs’ to reiterate its commitment to recognize sports talent at grassroots level.
The Puneri Paltan logo has undergone significant transformation to depict ferocity through its vibrant shades of orange and vermillion - colours that represent the Maratha culture in its truest form. The new logo has introduced a lion along with the traditional shield and sword that stands for aggression and agility through strategic attack and defense. These are traits that mark a true Kabaddi player.

The franchise is optimistic to provide exciting and great experience to the fans of Puneri Paltan at Balewadi Stadium in Pune during the hometown matches. Puneri Paltan will debut its first match in Star Sports Pro Kabaddi League Season 2 on July 20th with Telugu Titans in Mumbai. The team will start their home matches on 16th of August with Dabang Delhi.
