BCCI to honor Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli and VVS Laxman

New Delhi: Legendary Indian batsman Sachin Tendulkar and young batting sensation Virat Kohli will be honored among other players at the BCCI Annual Awards ceremony to be held on November 21 in Mumbai.

Sachin for completing his 100th international century will get the Polly Umrigar Award and Kohli for being India's top international cricketer of 2011-12 will be awarded a trophy and a cheque of Rs 5 lakhs.

VVS Laxman who retired recently will also be felicitated in the function. The other former players who will be felicitated in the function are Vinoo Mankad, Ghulam Ahmed, ML Jaisimha, Vijay Merchant, Vijay Manjrekar, Dattu Phadkar and Dilip Sardesai.

Former Indian captain and outstanding opening batsman Sunil Gavaskar will be awarded with the prestigious Col CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award.
