New Delhi: L.P. Prasad defeated Jack Bateson of England 14-10 in the finals to win the gold medal for India at the 33rd International
Tammer Youth Boxing Tournament.

Prasad was tied with Bateson on three points after the first round. In the second round Prasad took one point lead as the round ended at a
score of 8-7 in favor of the Indian. Prasad was at his best in the third round and won the match 14-10.

Another Indian boxer Dheeraj Singh won the silver medal, he lost to Elie Konki in the finals.
