New Delhi: Indian tennis's two protagonists Mahesh Bhupathi and Rohan Bopanna may have bulldozed their way into the London Olympics, but they have been told by the All India Tennis Association (AITA) to be prepared for disciplinary action for their misdemeanour.
AITA president Anil Khanna did not mince words while announcing that two men's doubles teams will be fielded at the Olympics.
Khanna made it amply clear that it was a pyrrhic victory for Bhupathi and Bopanna to be selected for the national duty at the Olympics and that they would have to pay for their conduct in the last couple of days.
"AITA does not wish to take a harsh action against Mahesh and Rohan before the Olympics as it will not serve the best interests of the nation. AITA will establish a code of conduct and will consider appropriate action after the Olympics," said a visibly unhappy Khanna, sounding let down by the two Bangloreans. (IANS)
