New Delhi: Kings XI Punjab star all-rounder Azhar Mahmood welcomed the move by BCCI to include Pakistan’s T20 champions Sialkot in the Champions League T20.

“It is a very good step from India and Pakistan should step forward and should join hands with their neighbors. Both the nations should try to come together for the development of the game. It will be great for cricket if this could happen”, said Mahmood.

On his team’s chances of qualifying for the playoffs Mahmood said,”We have got a good chance to qualify. Last night we displayed some high class cricket and the win has given us a lot of confidence. We have three more games up our sleeves and we are confident of performing well in those games.”

Punjab will play table-toppers Delhi Daredevils tomorrow and ahead of their match, Piyush Chawla who is the leading wicket taker for KXIP said, “We are confident going into the match. We have got the momentum with us and we are playing some good cricket.”

Chawla also said that Azhar Mahmood’s inclusion was a great thing that happened as he is one of the most experienced cricketers in this format.

Mahmood on tomorrow’s match said Delhi has been in good form but they will find it difficult against Punjab as they too are in a very good form.
