Sehwag disappointed with his bowlers, fielders

New Delhi: After Delhi Daredevils (DD) lost to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) last night and surrendered their top spot to them, skipper Virender Sehwag was disappointed with the sloppy work of his fielders and bowlers.

Electing to bat first Sehwag felt even though they were seemingly short by 20-25 runs, the target of 154 was still defendable. “We could not capitalize in the middle over but 150-odd was not a bad total. Our fielding and bowling was not up to the mark and when bowlers giving out boundary balls, it gets difficult to set the field,’ Sehwag said after the match.

Sehwag defended his decision to give the ball to Shahbaz Nadeem who was hit for two fours and a six in the fourth over and said, “We decided to give him a chance because Gambhir was batting well against the fast bowlers.”

Sehwag the holder of Orange cap was in all praise for Sunil Narine who played a crucial role in helping KKR win the match. “He is a good bowler, but he might not work against me and I could have smashed him. But then it is really difficult for other batsmen to pick him and he is learning very fast,” added Sehwag.
