IPL Match 43--Rajasthan Royals vs Delhi Daredevils: Players to watch out for…

Two teams who featured in one of the most interesting matches in IPL-5 just two days back, are ready to face each other once again. Rajasthan Royals played some bad cricket and lost the match from a winning position. Royals have accepted that the defeat in the last match can cost them big time as right now they have only eight points to their name from the nine matches that they have played. Royals need a win badly if they want to qualify for the playoffs.

Delhi Daredevils on the other hand are looking the strongest team and they are well on their way to making it to the playoffs. Daredevils have 14 points from the nine matches and will be one of the four top teams until something dramatic happens.

Delhi Daredevils:

Kevin Pietersen: He is playing his last match in this year’s IPL as he will go back to join his national team. KP will be raring to have a go. He has been in great touch and is playing shots freely. Jaipur pitch has always been good for batting and the stylish Englishman will be itching to leave one last impression.

Virender Sehwag: He has been the most prolific run-scorer for Delhi Daredevils and he has scored all his runs with a tremendous strike-rate. Sehwag has won many games for DD in this season and is in the race for the orange cap. Sehwag is in prime form and can devastate any bowling attack.

Morne Morkel: He is the current holder of the purple cap and he has never looked more threatening before. The tall South African turned the match on its head the last time the two teams met. Morkel bowls at an awkward length and is very hard to get away. He is a genuine wicket taker and can produce some breath-taking deliveries.

Irfan Pathan: He has been bowling well but has not taken as many wickets as his team would have wanted from him. His swing is missing and that has made him a lot more easier to face. Pathan will be looking to support Morkel and would want to break the solid Rajasthan opening pair. He is very handy with the bat and can hit some lusty blows.

Rajasthan Royals:

Shane Watson: Watson has returned from the West Indies and that will give a much needed boost to the Royals. Watson is one of the best all-rounders going around and he can change the course of the match with both bat and ball. He played a pivotal role in Rajasthan winning the inaugural season and he will be looking to change the fortunes of his team this time around as well.

Owais Shah: He was at the crease when Rajasthan lost to Delhi Daredevils and that would have hurt him badly. He did not get much opportunity in the previous match and will be itching to have a proper bat this time around. Shah has won many matches for the Royals and will be looking to do the same in this match.

Brad Hodge: He has been bowling quite well and has been among the wickets, but he has given far too many runs. He is a genuine wicket taker and has deceived almost all the batsmen with his googly. He has a natural ability to outfox the batsmen and he will be under tremendous pressure against the explosive Delhi batting line-up.

Ankeet Chavan: He bowled well in the last match that he played and opened the attack for the Royals. He took the all important wicket of Kevin Pietersen and bowled with a lot of control. He is a wily customer and will have to at his best bowling to Delhi batsmen.
