Sachin Tendulkar joins Mumbai Indians’ conditioning camp

Mumbai: Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar on Saturday joined the Mumbai Indians conditioning camp at the Wankhede Stadium for the fifth season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) commencing April 4.

Sachin, who went to London to consult a doctor for his injured toe, will be lead the Mumbai team in the quest for their first IPL title.


The maestro recently scored his long awaited 100th hundred in Dhaka against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup and will look to carry on his good run in the domestic tournament.

Mumbai, who were the finalists last year, will play their first game against defending champions Chennai Super Kings at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium Wednesday.

Mumbai have strengthened an already strong squad by bringing in the likes of Indian spinner Pragyan Ojha, Australian pacer Mitchell Johnson, all-rounder Robin Peterson and destructive South African batsman Richard Levi. (IANS)
