Kuantan, Malaysia: India were on a high after defeating arch-rivals Pakistan on Sunday and met low rank China in the Asian Champions Trophy in Kuantan on Tuesday. As expected, India totally dominated the game and beat China 9-0. With this win India topped the points table with 10 points.

Malaysia with nine points can overtake them as they have only played three matches so far and have won all of them, whereas India played four matches with 3 wins and one draw.

On the other hand, China's bad run in the tournament continued as they had won only one match out of the four played. They are officially out of the tournament.

India dominated the game from the start of the first quarter. India's young striker Akashdeep Singh scored for India in the first quarter.

India then become more dominant and scored three quickfire goals in the second quarter. Affan Yousuf scored the second goal for India and soon after Jasjit Kular scored the third one for his team. The fourth goal for India came from the penalty corner and India's main man Rupinder Pal Singh scored the fourth goal, taking his goal tally to eight in this tournament.

After first half India were 4-0 ahead of China.

In the second half, Nikkin Thimmiah scored with a great speed and finish. India finished the third quarter with a lead of 8-0. Lalit Upadhay, Akashdeep Singh and Affan Yousuf scores the last three goals, respectively. In the last quarter it was only a formality as Jasjit kular scores his second goal of the match and India increased their lead to 9-0.

India's young guns fired as Jasjit kular, Akashdeep Singh and Affan Yousuf scored two goals each and the rest of goals were scored by Nikkin Thimiah and Rupinder Pal Singh. With this win India qualified for the semi-finals.
India now has a very steep task ahead as they will take on the hosts Malaysia on Wednesday in their final encounter before the semis. Malaysia is so far unbeaten in this tournament and they were also looking to top the points table.
