Nagaon, Assam: Bihar beat Puducherry 25-0, while Rajasthan got the better of Gujarat 7-5 on Day 3 of the 6th Hockey India Sub Junior Women National Championship 2016 (B Division) on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the match between Manipur and Uttarakhand ended in 3-3.
The first match between Hockey Rajasthan and Hockey Gujarat started on an attacking note with the former pushing hard from the start and scoring in the 6th minute of the game. Rajasthan scored 3 more goals in the first half. Gujarat team tried to make a comeback in the first half with two goals. The second half started with Rajasthan again in the attacking mode who scored again in the beginning of the half and the match ended with the score at 7-5 in favour of Hockey Rajasthan.
The second match of the day saw a dominant display by the Hockey Bihar team who started off with scoring in the 7th minute of the game through Kajal Lakra and never looked back. It was a one sided affair as Hockey Puducherry had no answers to the attacking game of Hockey Bihar. The match ended with a score line of 25-0 in favour of the Bihar team.
The third match was a hard fought competition between Manipur Hockey and Hockey Uttarakhand. The match started with Manipur opening the scoring at the 8th minute. Hockey Uttarakhand came back strongly in quick succession scoring in the 23rd and 28th minute. Hockey Uttarakhand continued with their scoring streak with a in the second half with a third goal in the 43rd minute. However Manipur Hockey paved passed the Uttarakhand defence in the 53rd and 61st minute ending the match in a draw.
