Team is positive to fight it tough: Anupa Barla

Anupa BarlaNew Delhi: With the 7th Women’s Junior Asia Cup 2015 slated to begin from 5th September 2015, the Indian Junior Women Team is practicing hard at Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, New Delhi.

Gaining confidence from the recently culminated Volvo Invitational U-21 (Women) Tournament 2015, the Junior Indian eves are working on every aspect of the game so as to get the combination and strategies in place before the start of the all important tournament.

Giving the much required support to the Indian side, the talented forward Anupa Barla is excellent when it comes to field positioning and defensive strength. She has everything required from a forward player – strength, stamina and pace. Her versatility combined with a smart reading of the game makes her a player to keep eyes on in the upcoming tournament.

Speaking ahead of the 7th Women’s Junior Asia Cup 2015, forward player Anupa Barla said, “We are looking forward to the next tournament which will give us an opportunity to prove our mettle. We know the tournament will not be easy but the team is positive to fight it tough. We have worked hard on our attacks and penalty corner conversions and aim to stick to our strategies.”
