Indian junior women hockey team play a draw against New Zealand

Indian-Junior-Women-team-departing-for-FIH-Hockey-Junior-World-Cup-Women-2013Stratford: Despite leading the match by 3-1, Indian junior women hockey team were held to a 3-3 draw by the Black Sticks in the fifth match played of the ongoing six-match test series played between Indiaand New Zealand on Wednesday.

The six-match test series being played at the TET Multisport Centre in Stratford, New Zealand, today saw an exciting fight between the Indian junior women hockey team and the Junior Black Sticks. The Indian junior women hockey team showcased an exceptional form by taking the lead in the game by 3 goals to 1 against the Kiwis till the last six minutes of the game.

It was only in the remaining six minutes of the game when the New Zealand fought back and sliced in two goals to level the score with India and ending the game with a 3-3 draw.

With a total of three wins and two draws played in the series, New Zealand has already claimed the series in their favour.

India will now be taking on New Zealand in the final game of the series which is scheduled to take place on 13th November 2014 (tomorrow) at 0430 HRS (IST) at TET Multisport Centre in Stratford, New Zealand, in a bid to close the series with a win.
