New Delhi: The 49th ONGC-Nehru Hockey Tournament will be played at the newly renovated Shivaji Stadium, New Delhi from 14th Nov to 25th Nov., 2012.

Apart from top most teams of the country, two foreign teams viz Pakistan & Bangladesh are also participating. The tournament will be played in two Phases. 11 teams will play on Knock-out basis and two winning teams will join the 6 seeded teams. The eight teams will be divided in two Pools of 4 teams each which will play on league basis. A total of 17 teams have confirmed their participation in the competition.

Two teams from each Pool with qualify for Semi-finals to be played on 24th Nov and Finals will be played on 25th Nov., 2012 at 5.00 P.M. under flood light. DD Sports will telecast the Semi-finals and Final match LIVE.

The inaugural match will be played on 14th November, 2012 at Shivaji Stadium, New Delhi between Delhi XI and Indian Air Force at 3.00 P.M.
