Team India finish 4th at World Final of Audi quattro Cup 2014

golf-1Dubai: Team India comprising of A Louis Daniel and N Veeraraghavan made the country proud when they ended up fourth in Group B in the World final of the Audi quattro Cup 2014 that was held at the Jumeirah Golf Estates Earth Course.

The duo of Daniel and Veeraghavan aggregated 64 stableford points from two rounds of the grand finale. China finished at the top with Netherlands and South Africa finishing second and thrid respectively. This was team India’s best finish thus far. As many as 53 countries participated in the three-day gala event which saw the golfers experiencing two tournament rounds on the course that hosted the DP World Tour Championship recently, an exclusive Audi Driving Experience and a golf clinic with trick shot world champion Geoff Swain.

Daniel and Veeraraghavan representing Audi Chennai had emerged as the National champions outperforming 12 other teams in the qualifying rounds.

The Audi quattro Cup tournament series, established in 1991, has become one of the most celebrated amateur golf tournaments in the world bringing together over 100000 golfers from 53 countries. The Indian circuit of Audi quattro Cup consisted of 13 events played across 12 cities and touched almost 1500 golfers in all.
