Kolkata: The Tata Steel East Zone Sub Junior Tour had a fairytale ending for Gurkirat Singh who won the “Tolly Juniors Cup” on the third leg of the Tour. The Runner Up was Sunit Chowrasia.
Tata Steel’s initiative is the perfect injection for junior golf in this Zone as competition is an integral part of breeding champions. For a longtime golf was perceived to be an old man’s game but with the junior most category starting at age 5years and spreading to age 18years this series will certainly help fuel the necessary enthusiasm and much can be expected from boys and girls who have taken to the game in the East Zone.
