During VVS Laxman’s retirement speech, he said that couldn't get in touch with Dhoni to intimate him about his decision to quit international cricket. And then it was followed by Dhoni's admission that he wasn't invited to Laxman's house for dinner like some of the other seniors in the team which led everyone to speculate that all is not well between these two.
But a report in The Times of India writes that VVS Laxman has declined to comment on his relationship with skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni but clarified that there was no controversy as has been reported.
"There was no controversy at all... I don't want to speak anything about it," Laxman said on Monday,” Laxman was quoted in the report.
India won their first Test against New Zealand at Hyderabad, Laxman’s hometown but he could not go because his children were not keeping well.
"I wanted to go to the stadium on Saturday but it rained heavily and I had to abort my plan," Laxman added.
"Yesterday, also I had plans to go there. But both my kids -- elder son Sarvajith and daughter Achintya -- were down with fever."
"I watched the entire match at home. It's good to see boys doing well and win the match in the series.”
