Inexperienced bowling attack was the decisive difference between the two teams: Dravid

Rahul Dravid, captain of the Rajasthan Royals said that his inexperienced bowling attack was one of the decisive reasons of their loss against the Kolkata Knight Riders in a low scoring match, reports The Times of India.

Dravid said that unlike the KKR bowling attack, his bowlers were short on experience and did not had much IPL experience. He said that his young bowlers are working very hard but in low scoring matches experience can come in very handy.

Dravid said that his bowlers have been bowling well and the team’s focus is to make the bowlers learn as quickly as possible. On the Eden Gardens pitch, Dravid said that the wicket was turning a lot and the pitch was very slow.


Meanwhile Chennai Super Kings’ coach Stephen Fleming believes that the reason why the Chennai team have been so successful in IPL’s is because of the local talent that they have in their team, reports Mid Day.

Fleming said that they like to play the same eleven most of the times as in the previous four editions of the league and that has worked for them.

Former Kiwi opener also said that they want to give players more chances to provide his credentials as this format can be very tough on a player.

Players like R Ashwin, Murali Vijay and S Badrinath has featured in most of the Chennai games and that is one of the main reasons why they have prospered so much. Fleming also added that this team tries to give players from Tamil Nadu a lot of opportunities.


Meanwhile, Shakib Al Hasan who was adjudged the man of the match in Kolkata Knight Riders win over Rajasthan Royals said that it feels that he is playing at his home whenever he takes the ground at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata, reports Hindustan Times.

Shakib said that he was nervous going into the match and his U-15 playing days helped him a lot. On his place in the side, Shakib said that as a player his job is to perform and the team combination is a call that the captain and the coach will take.

On his performance Shakib said that he is happy that he contributed in the teams’ win and will look to continue that.
