Manchester City offer 22 million pound to Mancini

London: Manchester City, who are just one win away from registering their first English Premier League (EPL) title after 44 years, have offered their manager Roberto Mancini a whopping 22 million pound contract.

With the new contract Mancini's four-year deal will make him the country's best-paid boss, alongside Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson.

According to the British media, even if City fail to clinch the title, the two million-a-year pay rise made to Mancini will stand and this rise will take his salary to 5.5 million pound a year.

The Manchester clubs stand level on points but City are ahead by the eight goal.

Sheikh Mansour who owns the City has give the go ahead for Mancini who is planning for his next season at the club. (IANS)
