Pune - DSK Shivajians ‘B’ signed off their PDFA First Division Super League campaign with an all-win record registering a 3-0 win over Deccan Rovers FC ‘B’ at the BEG, Khadki ground.

The victory helped DSK Shivajians ‘B’ emerge First Division champions after logging 15 points (5 matches). Victory also earned them promotion to the PDFA Super Division.

The hero of the victory was striker Jesse Ralte, who scored a brace (42nd and 48th minute) and also created the chance which led to the first goal scored by winger Gagandeep Singh (20th minute).

Both DSK Shivajians ‘B’ and Deccan Rovers began the game cautiously trying to keep hold of possession.

Fifteen minutes into the first half, DSK Shivajians ‘B’, who comprise of players from the Liverpool FC International Academy, started playing with more intent and began to attack the opposition goal.

Persistence paid off five minutes later. Jesse broke free on the left flank, used his pace on the run and delivered an inch-perfect cross to an incoming Gagandeep. Gagandeep did well with a brilliant out-foot effort to make it 1-0 in favor of DSK Shivajians ‘B’.

The strike gave DSK Shivajians ‘B’ the upper hand. Thereafter, they looked ever so confident on the ball and created chances aplenty but fell short of making most of it.

At the breather, DSK Shivajians ‘B’ led 1-0.

On resumption, DSK Shivajians struck twice in a span of six minutes through Jesse Ralte.

The first came off a rebound offered by the Deccan Rovers’ keeper. Azaruddin’s stiff try had the opponent’s keeper in a spot of bother as he failed to collect properly. As a result the ball fell in the path of an unmarked Jesse, who made no mistake.

In the forty-eighth minute, Jesse got to the end of a lobbed ball played by BiaklianPaite and found the back of Deccan Rovers net.
