dd vs cskThe Delhi Daredevils and the Chennai Super Kings meet each other in Match Number 52 of the Indian Premier League on Friday (May 18) at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi. CSK have already qualified for the Play Offs but would like to finish within the top 2 spot with a win against Delhi in Delhi. DD on the other hand, are at the bottom of the points table are the only team which is out of contention for the Play Offs. In such a scenario, DD are the most dangerous side as they can now play a fearless brand of cricket and be the party spoilers tonight at their home ground.

The Chennai Super Kings are a team on a mission. On the back of a comfortable win against the table toppers Sunrisers Hyderabad, Chennai would carry enormous confidence with them and would like to reach the business end of tournament with a few wins under their belt and an in form team. CSK has been a class apart in pressure situations and that has what made it a successful unit so far.

CSK bowling has been an area of concern and they would like to improve upon their bowling and fielding performances going into the Play offs.

Rishabh Pant, Shreyas Iyer, Prithvi Shaw have been amongst the runs for DD. Especially, Pant has been in superb form scoring mountains of runs at an unbelievable strike rate. Even Abhishek Sharma looked good in the last match and DD could be the impact batsmen tonight at Kotla. For CSK, each of their batsmen have contributed somewhere or the other in the tournament and that has what made them a champion side in the past as well, each time they have found a new savior. Watson, Rayudu, Raina, Dhoni- all have looked in great touch and have turned the match by their sheer ability and outstanding execution.

Boult has been Delhi’s leading wicket taker and DD would hope that he is good form tonight. It is important for the franchise to end on a high and take those winning memories into the next season to start with an optimistic approach. Amit Mishra and Boult could be the helping hands in that goal with the ball in hand.

For Chennai apart from their spinning options, Deepak Chahar and Bravo would be the key and their death bowling an area of concern as they take on the Delhi Daredevils at their home tonight.
