Gauranshu youngest cricketer for ICC Americas Combine Phase 1

Indianapolis: Gauranshu Sharma current senior at Hillsborough High school, New Jersey, is the youngest cricketer selected for the ICC Americas Combine Phase 1, among 83 players invited to attend try outs at World Sports Park, here from September 18 to 21 with chance to qualify for ICC Americas Combine Phase 2.
New Delhi-born in 1998, USA Under-19 cricketer was active player at the ICC Americas World Cup Qualifiers in Bermuda last summer. USA Global Cricket Academy player Gauranshu Sharma is a technically solid right-handed opening batsman and an accurate right arm off spin bowler. He recently completed a month long high-performance training camp through National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru (India).

Gauranshu Sharma started playing cricket at the age of 10 and since then has participated in a number of national and International tournaments, where he got the chance to interact with legends/coaches including Sunil Gavaskar, Anshuman Gaekwad, (India), Alvin Kallicharan, and Shiv Chanderpaul (West Indies).
At the age of 16, he scored back to back centuries on debut in the New York-based Metropolitan Cricket League, arguably the best league in the region.

Some recent honors includes the best bowler, the best batsman, and the Most Valuable Player of Dallas Youth Cricket League -DYCL Under 16 national tournament during 2014, the best bowler and MVP of United States Global Cricket Academy Under 19 tour to Guyana 2015, and the MVP of the highly reputed Staten Island Under 19 Youth Cricket Festival 2015.

He will join with the another U-19 player, Cean Healy, Napa, CA High School Senior. A Merrion Cricket Club of Dublin, Ireland and the Calistoga-based Napa Valley Cricket Club Player.
