Jenny Gunn reported over suspicious bowling action, receives full support from England

London: Jenny Gunn of Nottinghamshire received full support from England as he was officially questioned over his bowling action for the second time in three years.
The 24 year old seamer was reported to the ICC by on field umpires Derek Walker and Phil Jones after the England’s one day international match against New Zealand in Lincoln on Thursday where she scalped two wickets. She would now have to present herself to the ICC’s human movement specialist where a test to judge her suspicious action would be carried out

The 24-year-old Gunn was reported to the International Cricket Council by the umpires Derek Walker and Phil Jones after she took two for 30 in England's victory over New Zealand in a one-day international in Lincoln on Thursday. She will now have to submit to an independent analysis of her action by the ICC's human movement specialists, in the same way as the off-spinners Muttiah Muralitharan and Saeed Ajmal in recent years.
Clare Connor the head of women's cricket for the England and Wales Cricket Board as well as chairwoman of the ICC's Women's Committee showed support for Gunn and said that she would still be in the side that is touring New Zealand and the incident has been described as unfortunate by her as she had already been cleared by ICC in 2009 after she was analysed for suspicious action for the first time.
