New Delhi: Aman Narula helped S.D. Public School beat Mata Jai Kaur School, Ashok Vihar by four wickets in a qualifying knock-out match of Coca-Cola U-16 Inter-School Cricket Tournament played at Bharat Nagar in Delhi on Friday.
In the first innings, S.D. Public School scored 136 runs for nine wickets in 30 overs with the help of Nitish Dham’s 39 runs. Mata Jai Kaur School’s star bowler Kabir Singh took four wickets.
In the second innings, Mata Jai Kaur’s Kunal Wadha scored 43 runs and helped his team to achieve the target in 25 overs. Aman Narula of S.D. Public School took four wickets.
In another match, Rakesh’s half-century helped Mount Abu Public School, Rohini beat Govt. School, Possangi Pur by eight wickets in another qualifying knock-out match at Vikaspuri.
The batting line-up of the Govt. School, Possangi Pur collapsed at just 107 runs in 35 overs as they lost nine wickets. Only Rishab Tariyal managed to lift his team with his 31-run knock.
Mount Abu Public School, Rohini did not face any trouble to achieve the low target. Star batsman Rakesh hit unbeaten 79 and with the loss of two wickets, Mount Abu achieved the target in 26.1 overs.
