Shikhar Dhawan, who was given a nod ahead of Gautam Gambhir after K L Rahul was ruled out of the second Test because of a hamstring injury, failed to justify his selection as he could make only one run and was back into the pavilion after facing 10 balls. Dhawan has been in poor form, failing to click with his bat in the most of the matches he has played in the recent past.
Meanwhile, as the biopic on MS Dhoni released on Friday, tweets regarding biopic being made on Dhawan were doing rounds on the social media site, while some others tweeted saying Dhawan got out early to ‘sell tickets in black’. Others said that he has in a hurry to watch the Dhoni biopic.
A tweet even said that Shikher Dhawan himself wants to make way for Gautam Gambhir who is in tremendous form.
Even Dhawan wants to make way for Gautam Gambhir ???????????? #INDvsNZ

A popular troll page “The Viral Fever” claimed that because of Shikhar Dhawan, even batsman playing at Number 3 feels like an opener.
Thank you Shikhar Dhawan, because of you even our number 3 batsmen can become competent openers.#IndVsNZ

A fan said that Shikhar Dhawan biopic would have nothing except him going to bat and coming back without scoring a run and it can be played in a loop.
A biopic on Shikhar Dhawan will just be a montage of him wearing pads, going to the field and coming back immediately, played in a loop.

A fan went on to compare Shikhar Dhawan with Poonam Pandey’s costume designer as both have nothing much to do.
Shikhar Dhawan is as important to Indian team as Poonam Pandey's costume designer. #indvnz

Even people trolled that Shikhar Dhawan appearance will be as if the actor has just come out for one scene.
If Shikhar Dhawan has been featured in MS Dhoni's biopic, the actor would've acted for just one scene(OUT) & same has been used everywhere.
