Mumbai: Harbhajan Singh has been picked up to play for India in the second Test match against England here today after Umesh Yadav was ruled out due to a sore back.
Harbhajan Singh, veteran of 98 Test matches with 406 wickets will be taking to the field in whites since July 2011.
There has been a lot of talks about his selection into the squad and his chances of making it to the playing XI looked grim, due to the spin duo of R Ashwin and Pragyan Ojha. But now Yadav’s injury has come to him as a blessing in disguise and will look to impress right from the word go.
Meanwhile, Indian skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and elected to bat first in the second Test match.
