New Delhi: Kidambi Srikanth maintained his winning form as he got the better of compatriot B Sai Praneeth 25-23, 21-17 in the all-Indian quarterfinal to reach the semi-finals of the Australian Open Super Series, on Friday.
Srikanth, last week, had become the first Indian to win the men's singles title at the Indonesia Open Super Series.
Earlier, Srikanth had defeated World No. 1 Son Wan Ho for the second time in two weeks to reach the quarterfinal of the tournament.
Meanwhile, PV Sindhu made an exit from the tournament, as she went down 21-10, 20-22, 16-21 to World No. 1 Tai Tzu Ying of Chinese Taipei in the women's singles quarterfinal. In a hard-fought hour-long contest, Tzu Ying came back strong after losing the first game to win the match.
